Festivities in may on Sardinia
This month has to juggle 150 festivities – in only 31 days. May starts directly with the biggest party of the island, Sagra de Snat’Efiso, which is being celebrated from May 1th to May 4th. At the same time Sagra di San Francesco takes place in Lula, where poetry contests and horseman games are arranged round the church of pilgrimage. Very impressive as well is the boat-procession taking place at the last Sunday of May in Orosei in honour of holy Madonna of the Sea.
