Festivities in June in Sardinia
At the first Sunday in June, the festival of holy Katharina, numerous native costumes and oxcarts showing the picture of the saint dominate the shape of the city in Sardinia. On the following Monday there is a horseman procession taking place in honour of Madonna di Martiri. Besides there are 100 other festivals on the island, among them are poetry contests and the oldest horse-market in Sardinia which takes place from June 2nd to June 4th in San Leonardo de Siete Fuentes.
